Skyler Anderson
Hello and welcome! My name is Skyler, I was born and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon and decided to move to South Dakota in 2014 to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Black Hills State University. After graduation in 2019 I decided to blend my love of health and fitness with my love of birth and babies. I am extremely passionate about both fields and believe that they have a beautiful crossover.
I am currently pursuing a full spectrum Maternal Support Practitioner certification from Bebo Mia. Combining my prior education with all things birth, postpartum, and fertility education has been a huge blessing to my practice.
I’ve had some life experiences that led me to understand that there is a need for a community for new parents, a need for a village and support. I knew quickly that I had a place in this community with my prior experience, knowledge, and passion. My birth into this world came with trauma to both my mother and I and this “job” of being a doula feels more like a full circle moment to me. I feel honored to be apart of some of the most intimate and intense moments. My mission is to create a space where you feel supported, empowered, while following your body’s own natural rhythm.
My approach is rooted in empathy and respect and the belief that every birthing and postpartum experience is unique. As your doula I am here to listen, educate, and empower you and your family to make informed decisions that align with your values and desires. I look forward to working together on this transformative journey!
Warmly, Skyler

“Skyler my doula and close friend is a literal angel. Throughout my first pregnancy, which had its share of unexpected twists and turns, she was my rock. Her calming presence, gentle touch, and reassuring words were always so comforting. She provided support and became a cherished friend to me and my partner sharing in both our joys and fears. Thanks to her, I felt empowered, strong, and capable of facing whatever came our way. I will forever treasure the role she played in bringing my precious baby into this world.” – Kayla
“Where do I begin? Skyler pretty much became part of our family now. She is just absolutely incredible at what she does and was the perfect postpartum doula. From listening to me cry through the Baby Blues to making sure I have enough water and eat lunch, Skyler always knew exactly what my family and I needed in the moment. She is extremely empathetic and has some kind of a sixth sense which helped her always do and say the right thing. The way she handled my toddler boys and my newborn baby girl with so much grace and patience was inspiring. Skyler is extremely organized, clean, an amazing cook and creative with looking after the older kids. I feel fortunate to have met her and create a bond that we now share. You cannot go wrong with hiring Skyler and I would even say, you absolutely need her to survive the postpartum period.” – Elena
“My husband and I hired on Skyler as our doula for support and guidance throughout our pregnancy and birth experience. We gained a friend in the process. Not only is she knowledgeable and respectful of our preferences but she is also very intuitive to our needs as new parents and individuals. We cannot express how thankful we are for Skyler and all that she has to offer. She made us feel confident as we made decisions throughout our birth and offered advice and help along the way. She is an invaluable member of our birth team and we highly recommend her services!” – Brianna
