Birth Doula

What is a Birth Doula?
The Birth Doula provides physical, emotional and informational care to the laboring mama and her family/support team. This person is an advocate, a voice, a constant listener, a non-judgmental supporter, and a dutiful space-holder. A Birth Doula is a teammate to the father/partner/family/friend and offers helpful ways that they can support the birthing parent. Studies have shown that a Birth Doula can be an invaluable support while bringing a little one earth-side.
Labor is continuous, and thus is the support for those in labor. Make sure your birth team is complete before your labor experience.
