Sheryl Sissom
From my earliest days caring for my own son, I have always valued a nurturing and kind way of caring for infants, as well as being well-informed and educated when caring for both infants and their families. This led me on a path to becoming an early-childhood teacher, then a nanny, and finally to my current role as a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula.
I find it deeply rewarding to care for families and share this precious time immediately after birth with them. It’s a great privilege to be able to both do something I love and serve my community this way. I continue to learn from ongoing training, from my fellow doulas, and from the families I serve. My approach will always center kindness, compassion, and well-informed care and choices.
In my free time, I cherish spending time with my family, love to swim, and enjoy pursuing social justice causes in our community.
