Childbirth was a completely foreign world to me until ten years ago when I started having my own children, but ever since then babies, birth, and breastfeeding have been my passion. The relationships that I made with my doula, midwives, lactation consultants, and other birth professionals were positively life altering. They provided me with encouragement and support through the highs and lows of my three pregnancies, labors, and births, and helped give me the confidence I needed at the beginning of my parenting journey. For me, giving birth has been the most empowering experience of my life, and it has inspired me to want to support other families as they welcome their babies into loving arms.

My life experience has enriched my doula work by helping me to become a more empathetic, intuitive, and active listener, and my goal as your doula is to hold space for you, provide comfort physically and emotionally, and encourage you to listen to your intuition as you navigate this journey called birth. My specialties as a doula include evidence based information, aromatherapy, and breastfeeding support. Out of hospital birth and single parent support both have a special place in my heart as well.

In addition to being a birth doula, I also love supporting families as a postpartum doula, participating in the local La Leche League breastfeeding support groups, and studying to become a future childbirth educator. In college, my major was in American Sign Language Interpreting with a minor in Spanish. I live with my three boys and our dog, Ryder, in the North Clackamas area and enjoy hiking, puzzles, learning history and geology, and I most recently introduced my sons to rock climbing.
