My name is Katrina Rogers and I am beyond excited for the opportunity to be part of your postpartum journey! I am an IBCLC (Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant) through  PSU/OHSU and a certified Postpartum Doula with Birthingway College of Midwifery. Before going back to school for postpartum care, I gained 18 years of childcare experience with families in both daycare/preschool settings as well as being a nanny for multiple amazing families that I am still close to today. I also received a bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre from Western Oregon University. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and love gaining new skills, understanding and knowledge to further expand my human experience and become a better person. I am so grateful to have such a fulfilling career in postpartum care and look forward to connecting with you and supporting you in whatever way you need. 

 

As a caregiver, lactation consultant and postpartum doula, I strive to meet families where they are, to be present, and to hold space for them as they navigate and adjust to this complex and joyous time in their lives. When I am done working with a family, I hope that the parents feel heard, taken care of and confident in their own skills to care for their new baby/babies. I hope that when I leave, I have made a lasting impression and that I have helped make the fourth trimester a time of reduced stress, joyous bonding, empathetic guidance and a feeling of self-empowerment for the families I work with. I have a deep calling for this kind of work, and have been a caregiver since I can remember. I have worked with many different families from all walks of life, and I feel such gratitude and joy knowing I made a difference in their lives and that they have touched mine as well. As a doula, I feel I am compassionate, nurturing, outgoing, positive and warm. I feel truly honored to be helping you through such a vulnerable and blissful time in your lives. 

 

I was born in Portland, OR and loved growing up in the great NW! I now live in the Tigard area with my husband of 7 years, our toddler daughter and infant son and our dog and cat. In my free time you can see me spending time with family and friends, singing at the spiritual center I attend, making wire wrapped jewelry, and spending time in nature. I am looking forward to connecting more, learning about you and your family and seeing if we are a good fit.
