Edwina Koch
A passion for birth is an understatement… I am obsessed! I believe every parent should have the opportunity to be guided by a doula as an emotional, physical, and informational support. In fact, my first job ever was at the Prenatal Yoga Center in New York City shadowing Deb Flashenberg and it is there that my love for birth and the connection between breath, body, and baby truly was born!
Aside from my doula life, I have always been a dancer and mover. Studying yoga and dance for the last 13 years has helped me become aware of how powerful the body can be and I use that work in many ways in my day to day life.
A few more fun facts about me, I am originally from the New York area and at the age of 19 I moved to France to study the language and integrate myself into the culture and become a complete francophile. I love languages and my dream is to speak at least three of them! I am currently working on my spanish.
I moved to the PNW two years ago because the green lush nature called to my city-roots. I have not regretted my decision for one second. If you are looking for an energy-filled, passionate, and compassionate birth doula, look no further!
